Diagnosis Before Explanation
Before you explain a concept, name what the learner, founder, or reader is currently doing wrong. Explanation is the second move, not the first.
When to use
- A student "understands" but still cannot score.
- A founder says "we just need better marketing" without knowing which judgment is missing.
- You are about to teach a concept and notice you have skipped the actual problem.
Misuse
Do not turn diagnosis into shaming. The goal is to surface what explanation would otherwise hide.
