Different, Correct, Useful
A three-gate test. The move must be different enough to escape the default, correct enough to survive reality, and useful enough to change what someone can see, say, decide, build, or do.
When to use
Before publishing any phrase, post, or prompt.
When a Less Typical claim feels exciting but possibly decorative.
When you need a quick way to kill weak novelty in yourself or your team.
Misuse
Do not use DCU as a checklist to satisfy. A move that only sounds clever on all three gates is still typical — it just dressed up.
