Grammar as Meaning
Treat grammar choices — sentence shape, phrase position, voice — as meaning-making moves, not as correction marks.
When to use
- A student has the "right words" but the reader cannot follow them.
- A founder writes a sentence that flatters themselves but hides the message.
- You want to teach grammar without killing the desire to write.
Misuse
Do not use grammar rules to police student writing. A grammatical error that carries more meaning than a "correct" sentence is the lesson, not the failure.
