Read to Enter Another Mind
Treat reading as temporary apprenticeship to another mind's attention, not as information intake.
When to use
- You finish a book and cannot recall anything specific.
- You want to read more carefully but keep reducing books to summaries.
- A student reads "to get the key points" and never uses the book.
Misuse
Do not turn this into a productivity hack. The point is to be changed by the reading, not to extract more from it.
