Reader's Camera

A sentence is a placement of the reader's attention. Choose what the reader sees, in what order, and at what distance.

When to use

Your paragraph is "technically fine" but readers are still not seeing what you mean.
You are writing instructions, narrative, or marketing copy that must trigger a specific image.
You are teaching writing and want a single tool that opens dozens of micro-decisions.

Do not treat the camera as decoration. If the image is pretty but does not change the reader's next decision, the move has not landed.
