Reader's Camera
A sentence is a placement of the reader's attention. Choose what the reader sees, in what order, and at what distance.
When to use
- Your paragraph is "technically fine" but readers are still not seeing what you mean.
- You are writing instructions, narrative, or marketing copy that must trigger a specific image.
- You are teaching writing and want a single tool that opens dozens of micro-decisions.
Misuse
Do not treat the camera as decoration. If the image is pretty but does not change the reader's next decision, the move has not landed.
