Wrong Binary → Third Option

Notice when a question is framed as two opposing choices, and look for the third option that escapes the false dilemma.

When to use

• A debate is stuck on "rigid vs flexible", "safe vs risky", "fast vs good".
• You sense that agreeing with either side will produce a typical answer.
• A founder is choosing between two bad marketing strategies.

Misuse

Do not use this to look clever. If the third option is just a rebranding of one of the two, the move has not landed.
